Murray State's four-match winning streak came to an end Friday when the Racers dropped a 5-2 decision at Memphis.
The Tigers got the early advantage as they took the doubles point. It was the first time this season that the Racers dropped the doubles point. The duo of Adriana Alvarez and Lyndsay Ottosen picked up an 8-4 victory at No. 2.
In singles action, Alexis Webb continued her strong play as she came away with a 7-6, 7-5 victory at No. 4. Lynsey Bochenek was also victorious in singles action with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6
The Racers return to the court Saturday afternoon against SIU Edwardsville.
