Missouri Valley Conference
Murray State University became a full member of the Missouri Valley Conference on July 1, 2022.
The Racers join The Valley and partner with member institutions Belmont University (Nashville, Tenn.), Bradley University (Peoria, Ill.), Drake University (Des Moines, Iowa), the University of Evansville (Evansville, Ind.), UIC (Chicago, Ill.), Illinois State University (Normal, Ill.), Indiana State University (Terre Haute, Ind.), Missouri State University (Springfield, Mo.), the University of Northern Iowa (Cedar Falls, Iowa), Southern Illinois University (Carbondale, Ill.) and Valparaiso University (Valparaiso, Ind).
The Missouri Valley Conference, the nation's second-oldest NCAA Division I conference, continues to be a leader in college athletics and is one of the nation's most innovative leagues, celebrating its 115th season in 2021-22.Â
The Racers are also members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference and play their first season in the MVFC in 2023.
The MVFC membership includes: Illinois State, Indiana State, Missouri State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, UNI, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, Western Illinois and Youngstown State.
