
Correia Leads The Racers At Bradley Pink Classic

Vicente Correia finished with the ninth-best 8K time in program history.
The Murray State men's cross country team competed on Friday in the White and Red Races at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Illinois.
Vicente Correia led the Racers in the Red Race with a time of 25:42.10, the ninth-fastest time in an 8K for the men's cross country program.
Following behind Correia was Jarod Willis, finishing with a time of 26:23.50, and Gabe Russell with a time of 27:10.40. Willis beat his season-best 8K time by just under 30 seconds.
In the White Race, Nathan Quinn led the Blue and Gold with a time of 27:13.70 and an 81st-place finish out of 178 athletes. Kellen Hottell finished shortly after in 85th with a time of 27:17.90, beating his season best by just under 40 seconds.
Jackson Custer finished 88th with a time of 27:19.80, beating his previous season best by nearly two minutes. Ben Crask ended the race with a time of 27:34.70, besting his 8K time for the 2023 season by nearly a minute.
Daniel Schalk rounded out the Racers lineup in the White Race in 27:48.70.
The Racers will now look ahead to the MVC Championships in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday, October 27.
