Racers Extend Win Streak to Six at Western Carolina

Rachelle Turner post record six-game winning streak as the Racers close non-conference play with a 7-2 record.

The Racers close non-conference play with a win at Western Carolina, Monday. They will into Missouri Valley Conference play with a 7-2 record.

Murray State continues their high-scoring trend by posting 25 and 24 points in the first and second quarters of the game. After a relatively slow 16-point third quarter, the Racers were able to clinch the game with a 24-point fourth quarter.

The Catamaounts matched the Racers' scoring spree in the second and third quarter.

Katelyn Young posted her fourth double-double of the season and made her eighth consecutive double-digit performance with 29 points. She made 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals to go with the points.

Young now has 34 double-doubles as a Racer.

Head Coach Rechelle Turner made a career-high of six-game winning streak.

Winningest in the League
Murray State will remain the winningest team in the MVC with a 7-2 record as they head to conference play at the end of the year.
