Murray State cross country competes in their fourth championship in The Valley on Friday
The Murray State women's cross country team takes on their fourth challenge in the Missouri Valley Conference Championships Friday (Oct. 31) at Angel Mounds State Historic Site on the eastern side of Evansville, Indiana.
Â
The Racers enter the event with a lot of confidence from solid performances this fall.
Â
Two weeks ago, the Racers placed fourth at the same Angels Mounds course and Liz Smith placed 10th and was only eight seconds from MSU's 6K record set by Vallery Korir in 2016. Ruth Kimutai and Molly Robertson placed 12th and 13th at Angel Mounds and the trio gives MSU a good chance of landing one or more on the All-MVC Team.
Â
The race schedule calls for the MSU women to hit the 6K course at 10:30 a.m. Central Time in the field of 11 MVC teams, with the men's race to follow an hour after the start of the women's race.
