Racers Searching For Answers After Home Rout To UNI

The Racers took their second home loss of the season against Northern Iowa
The Murray State Racers dropped an 89-60 loss Monday night to the Northern Iowa Panthers at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky.

The Racers (18-8) fell to 10-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference, into a second-place tie with Bradley. The Racers travel to Terre Haute Thursday to play the Indiana State Sycamores at the Hulman Center at 6 p.m. Central Time.

Fred King led the Racers with 14 points and eight rebounds., while KJ Tenner scored his career-high 13 points and Roman Domon scored 12 and Javon Jackson added 11 points to give the Racers

The first half saw the Racers go cold on offense and defense and fell behind the Panthers 22-9 at the 11:49 mark, but battled back with five minutes left and cut the UNI lead to 32-27 at 3:13 on Tenner's steal and finish.

UNI scored at the buzzer and the Racers trailed at halftime 39-29.

There was little going right for the Racers in the second half and they were outscored 50-29 in just their second home loss of the season in 13 games.
