Patterson Tied for Lead at the SoCal Spring Invite After First Round

Patti Patterson sits at one over after one round and is tied atop the leaderboard

After one round of the SoCal Spring Invite in Camarillo, California, junior Patti Patterson is pacing the Racers and one of the leaders of the field after shooting a one over 72 for the day. The Racers sit in eighth place as a team firing a 284.

Patterson caught fire on the back nine with two birdies and an eagle. Katherine Weir sits in 32nd overall after a six over 77 while Elin Tynan and Ella Scherer are each in the top 50 golfers in the field. Freshman Kylah Lunsford sits in 14th place while playing as an individual this week.

The tournament is scheduled to play 18 more holes in the second round on Monday followed by the final round on Tuesday.
