Contribution builds upon momentum of the Excellence Fund
Murray State Athletics has received a transformational gift of $250,000 from an anonymous investor in Tennessee, it was announced on Tuesday.

This gift will support Racer student-athletes through the Excellence Fund, which boosts revenue share, numerous strategic initiatives, and capital progress.

"We are thankful for this generous $250,000 commitment and the meaningful impact it will have on the future of Murray State," University President Dr. Ron Patterson said. "Investments like this demonstrate the tremendous belief our supporters have in Murray State and our vision for excellence. This generosity will help us continue providing exceptional opportunities for our student-athletes while strengthening Racer Athletics for generations to come."
"We are extremely appreciative of this extraordinary $250,000 investment and the confidence it represents in the direction of Murray State Athletics," Vice President & Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "This commitment provides critical resources to elevate the student-athlete experience and further accelerates the progress of our Leading The Pack campaign. Murray State Athletics has raised $52.75 million dollars in support of new facilities, initiatives and championship resources as part of the department's bold, comprehensive $100 million fundraising campaign, Leading The Pack, which was created to further position itself for the future by investing in student-athlete success and wellness, revenue share and competitive resources and world-class facilities.
