Jordan VerHulst joined Murray State Basketball as Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator ahead of the 2025-26 season.Â
VerHulst's first season at Murray State finished with a 20-13 overall record, a 12-8 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play and a third-place finish in the league standings, the program’s best MVC regular-season finish and most conference wins since joining the league. The Racers also earned a postseason berth in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Offensively, Murray State developed into one of the most productive teams in the country, averaging 83.1 points per game while ranking among the nation’s top teams in offensive efficiency.
VerHulst joined the Racers after serving as the Director of Scouting and Director of Operations at Memphis. He was an assistant head coach at Chipola College in 2020-21 with a program that made it to the NJCAA DI Final Four and was an assistant coach with the NBA G-League's Grand Rapids Drive in 2019-20. VerHulst coached at Grand Valley State in 2018-19 and also served four seasons at Auburn as Video Coordinator and Special Assistant to the Head Coach.
A graduate of Grand Valley State in 2008, VerHulst earned his master's degree from the University of Memphis in 2012.
