- His 15th place finish at the OVC Championship was historic.
- His time of 25:44 made him the first Racer to finish in the top-15 since Ryan Davis placed 11th in 2002.
- Ventura's improvement came after he placed 26th in the OVC finale in 2015.
- Competed in six events and was MSU's strongest runner as he topped the team with the best time in four events.
