Brock Rydecki has been a member of the Murray State Athletics department since 2016.
A former Racer football student-athlete, Rydecki oversees the daily operations, renovations and long-term capital planning for all Murray State Athletics facilities, while also supervising game management for all home athletic contests and special events, and serving on Murray State University's Emergency Response Team.
Since returning to his alma mater, Rydecki plays a pivotal role in one of the most transformative periods of facility growth in the history of Murray State Athletics. Over the past three years, he has helped oversee the planning, coordination and completion of more than $60 million in capital improvement projects that have significantly enhanced the student-athlete experience and modernized athletics facilities across campus.
Rydecki is recognized as a respected leader in collegiate athletics facilities management. He currently serves on the College Event & Facility Management Association (CEFMA) Board of Directors, where he collaborates with facility professionals from across the country to advance best practices in venue operations, event management and facility development. In 2022, Rydecki was appointed to the Murray Convention and Tourism Board, further strengthening the connection between Racer Athletics and the local community.
Before returning to Murray State, Rydecki spent three years at Trinity High School in Whitesville, Kentucky, where he served as Athletic Director and Dean of Students.
During his tenure, he was named Region III Athletic Director of the Year by the Kentucky High School Athletic Directors Association, served as the Region III Treasurer and helped transform the school's athletics department by adding new sports, creating a corporate sponsorship program and increasing departmental resources.
He also chaired the Horn Community Center committee, leading the successful development of a $3.7 million recreation facility that continues to serve the local community.
Prior to Trinity, Rydecki spent two years as an athletics intern at Murray State.
A standout offensive lineman for the Racers from 2008-12, Rydecki earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2012 before completing a master's degree in Human Development and Leadership with an emphasis in Sports Administration in 2013, both from Murray State University. In recognition of his exceptional service to the University, he received the Jim Baurer Staff Service Award in 2021.
Rydecki and his wife, Kimberly, reside in Almo, Kentucky, with their sons, Bryant and Bryson.
