Murray State women's basketball team is hungry for a win as they face Eastern Kentucky Thursday at 7 p.m. MSU has three student-athletes that average double-digit points; Keiona Kirby (15.5), Ke'Shunan James (15.3), and Olivia Cunningham (11.8). Morehead State is the only school in the OVC that has more student-athletes averaging double-digit points with four.

MSU continues to see its name in NCAA rankings. They are in the top 40 in three categories, starting with ranking second in defensive rebounds per game with 32. The team averages 7.9 three-point field goals per game which lands them 20th in the NCAA, while their scoring offense of 74.8 ranks 36th. Two players are individually ranked in the top 60 in two respective categories. Keiona Kirby ranks 29th with 2.78 three-point field goals per game, while Netanya Jackson ranks 57th with 2.00 blocked shots per game.

The Murray State women's basketball team fell 79-68 to Belmont Saturday at the CFSB Center. Keiona Kirby notched a double-double with 10 points along with a career-high 12 rebounds. Olivia Cunningham led the Racers with 16 points, followed by Netanya Jackson adding 14. Bianca Babic tied her career-highs with two assists and one block, while Jashae Lee tied her season-high with one block.

The Colonels come into the series with a 55-29 advantage. Eastern Kentucky has an overall four-game winning streak against MSU, and a two-game winning streak when playing at the CFSB Center.

Eastern Kentucky fell 61-71 to SIUE in its fifth conference game of the year to give them a 1-4 conference record. Shameekia Murray was one rebound away from her first career double-double as she grabbed nine rebounds and scored 18 points. Michaela Hunter scored a team-high 19 points, while adding four assists. The Cougars quickly got 11 points early in the second half to increase their lead to 21 points, 55-34. Eastern Kentucky tried to battle back, but was unable to rally enough to gain another win in conference.Â
