Murray State women's basketball team is set to face SIU Edwardsville at the CFSB Center Thursday Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. Murray State and SIU Edwardsville hold a distinct home court advantage when playing each other; MSU is 4-1 when playing at the Bank, while SIUE is 5-1 when playing at the Vadalbene Center.

Murray State took down the Lady Govs 98-84 in a huge conference road win. Ke'Shunan James had 17 points in the first half, the most in a half by her all season. James also led the team with six rebounds, while the team had 23. The 43 point scored in the first half is the most since the Brescia game on Dec. 30. James led the Racers with a career-high 31 points. Keiona Kirby and Netanya Jackson added 19 and 16 points respectively. The team grabbed 40 rebounds compared to Austin Peay's 35, which makes the Racers 5-3 when they outrebound their opponent this season. James tied her career-high six assists, and seven free-throws made, while Jackson tied her career-high three assists.

After the weekend, Ke'Shunan James earned Ohio Valley Conference player and freshman of the week, while she also earned the Madness Mid-Major National Player of the Week.

SIU Edwardsville holds a four-game winning streak against the Racers. However, MSU has only lost once at the CFSB Center to the Cougars.

The Cougars lost in a close 69-68 battle to UT Martin. Three student-athletes scored in double-digits for SIUE starting with Shronda Butts with 18. Gwen Adams and Micah Jones added 16 and 13, respectively. Tierny Austin grabbed a team high 12 rebounds. The team shot 43.8-percent from the field, and outrebounded the Skyhawks by 13. The game was a close one as the lead changed 11 times, and was tied twice, but UT Martin was able to pull one out to maintain their undefeated season.Â
