The Racers return to the CFSB Center looking to snap their current two-game skid as rival Austin Peay comes to town for a 5 p.m. showdown. Murray State is coming off a 96-59 loss at Southeast Missouri on Wednesday. Jasmine Borders led MSU with a career-high 17 points in the loss and made a career-best four 3-pointers.
The Racers are 5-4 this season at "The Bank" and are 3-2 in OVC play at home. MSU has won three consecutive against the Governors at home and is 30-14 all-time in Murray against APSU. Ke'Shunan James recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds the last time the two teams met at the CFSB Center.
Austin Peay is led by one of the top players in the OVC in guard Tiasha Gray. In conference play, Gray is third in the league in scoring at 23.4 points per game and leads the OVC in assists per game with 6.4. Tearra Banks is the Governor's secondleading scorer, averaging 12.4 points per game and has come off the bench most of the season. Sydney Gooch leads APSU with 5.7 rebounds per contest.
The Govs are second in the league in field goal percentage at 45.1 percent. APSU enters Saturday having lost three straight and is 1-12 on the road this season. The Governors are led by Head Coach David Midlick who is in his first season as the head man at Austin Peay.
Saturday will once again be a doubleheader with the MSU men as they host Austin Peay following the women's contest.
