Meagan Smith leads Way As Racers Compete in Pre Nationals

For the women, they finished 25th overall as a team in the black 6k race. Megan Smith came away with the fastest time for the women with a final time of 22:40.9 finishing 101st. Rebekah Priddy was next up for Murray State, finishing 104th with a time of 22:41.9.
"We had four athletes make their 6k debut this weekend after a hard week of training. Rebekah Priddy, Meagan Smith, and Caroline Grogan led the team with Riley McMahon and Ida Mutai rounding out the top five. Maura Ferrel set a PR in the 6k by 28 seconds. Overall I think this meet was a learning lesson for the athletes on how to be more strategic in their racing strategy going into the conference championship," said head coach Adam Kiesler
The Ohio Valley Conference Championship meet is next for both squads, where they'll race in Charleston, Ill. On Saturday, October 28.
