MSU earns three points in Battle of the Border
The Murray State women's cross country team raced in the OVC Championship, Saturday morning, where they finished eighth with a total team score of 213. Southeast Missouri hosted for the first time since 2008 at the Osage Center.
Senior Rebekah Priddy once again led the Racers as she finished 21st, five spots better than last season's OVC championship. Her time of 18.26.9 was also her best time of the season.
Fellow senior Ida Mutai also improved her place from last year, finishing in 37th place with a season-best time of 19:04.7, after placing 57th a year ago.
Freshmen Emma Creviston and Morgan Vosler finished in the third and fourth positions for the Racers with Creviston placing 47th and Vosler finishing in 54th with a personal-record time of 19:28.5.
Sophomore Hilary McAdam rounded out the top five for MSU with a 70th place finish.
As a team, the Racers finished two spots ahead of Austin Peay, earning them three points toward the Heritage Bank Battle of the Border.
