The Game
The sixth-seeded Murray State women's basketball team will look to keep the magic alive as it takes on second-seeded Belmont in the semifinals of the 2020 OVC Women's Basketball Championship. Tip-off from the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and the game will air live on ESPN+, WNBS 97.9 FM and the Zeno Radio app.

The Racers and Bruins have met on just one previous occasion with the top-seeded Bruins taking down the eighth seeded Racers, 88-64 in 2018. The two teams split their-regular-season series with Belmont winning in Murray and MSU winning for the first time in Nashville.

The two teams split their-regular-season series with Belmont winning in Murray and MSU winning for the first time in Nashville After escaping seventh-seeded Austin Peay in the quarterfinals Wednesday, the Bruins enter Friday at 18-5 on the year.
Belmont currently leads the OVC in several team categories including scoring margin (12.3), steals per game (11.1), 3-point field goals per game (8.5), turnover margin (4.91) and turnovers forced (18.8).
The Bruins are currently averaging 70.8 points per game on 44.1-percent shooting, while limiting opponents to a .388 clip from the floor and just 57.8 points per game.
2020 OVC Freshman of the Year Destinee Wells currently leads the Bruins with 17.0 points per game, while Conley Chinn follows at 12.7.
A Win Friday Would...
A win Friday would give the Racers their first trip to the OVC finals since 2008 when they won the program's only title to date.
Another Big Third
The Racers used a 22-point third quarter to propel them to the win Thursday. The third quarter has consistently been the best quarter for MSU this. The third has been the highest-scoring quarter in 12 of 26 games and the Racers' average in the period of 21.0 points is almost three points better than the next highest quarter.
Double Up
For the first time this season Thursday, two players recorded double-doubles for Murray State. Katelyn Young tallied her 10th of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Hannah McKay had the first of her career with 11 and 11.

Murray State is currently on a five -game win streak, the second of the Turner era and the first against all Division I opponents.
