Program Top-Five Performances Highlight Day One at EKU

Faith Bostick and Teliyah James post program top-five in day one at Rick Erdmann Twilight.

Murray State track and field close day at Eastern Kentucky University with Faith Bostick highlighting the day with a win in the 100m dash.

Bostick won the event with a time of 11.43 seconds. Her time is the fourth fastest time in Racers' history. She is currently second in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Teliyah James finished runner-up in the event with 11.44 seconds, the fifth fastest in the school's history and third in the MVC.

"Faith and Teliyah led the way with PRs, but everyone else stepped up as well to make it a very successful event," said head coach Adam Kiesler.

The Racers have six runners finishing in the top seven in the 100m dash.

"When you are late in the season like we are you want to start seeing big improvements and today we got that," said Kiesler.

Brooke Probst got her first collegiate win with a 1.65m mark in the high jump.

The Racers will look to continue their run tomorrow.
