Sycamores Stand Too Tall for Racers

Murray State football dropped a nail-biter to Indiana State 31-27 at Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday afternoon. After trailing 21-10 at halftime, the Racers stormed back in the second half thanks to two touchdown passes from Jayden Johannsen caught by Kade Neely and Justice Hill before Indiana State took the final lead with 11 seconds remaining.

Hill became the first Racer wide out with 100+ yards receiving since October 8, 2022 when Taylor Shields did so. The Little Rock, Arkansas native finished the game with 103 yards.

The linebacker duo of James Camden and Tyson Meiguez once again led the Racers defense with 10 and nine tackles, respectively.

Murray State returns to Roy Stewart Stadium next week for homecoming as the Racers take on the Illinois State Redbirds.

Murray State will host homecoming next week (Oct. 19) vs. Illinois State, kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
