Murray State fell to Ole Miss 4723-4717.

The Murray State Racers fell in a home match to the Ole Miss Rebels 4723-4717 Sunday morning.

The Racers recorded scores of 2346 in smallbore and 2371 in air rifle.

Lea Horvath of Ole Miss led all shooters with scores of 594 in smallbore and 600 in air rifle, for an aggregate score of 1194. Murray State freshman Carlotta Salafia was the second-best individual performer, with scores of 586 in smallbore and 597 in air rifle, for an aggregate score of 1183.

Horvath's scores were the highest in both categories with Salafia taking second in air rifle and John Blanton taking second place in smallbore with a score of 591.

Seven different Racers placed inside the top ten individual scores with Salafia being the top Racer, and John Blanton and Emma Lawrence rounding out the top five with scores of 1181 and 1178.

The Racers will return home next weekend for an Ohio Valley Conference matchup against Moorehead State on Sunday, October 20 at 9 a.m. CT at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range.
