Moore & Day Surge At Angel Mounds

The Murray State women's cross country team came home with a fourth-place showing at the Angel Mounds Invitational in Evansville, Indiana.
The 6K course was contested at Angel Mounds State Park.
Alyssa Moore and Breanna Day led the Racers with finishes of 15th and 17th place in the field of 167 competitors.
"Overall it was a great day for the women," said Murray State Coach Jordan Johnston. "As a team finishing fourth, it shows how well we ran up front and we're getting better. With eight PR's on the day, we are headed in the right direction moving in to The Valley Championship. Alyssa showed a great individual effort which landed her ninth on our all-time list in the 6K."
All that remains for the Racers is the Missouri Valley Conference Championship (Nov. 1) in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The event, hosted by UNI will be contested at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course.
