Murray State Rifle hits the road for their first road match of the year against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
After three straight home matches and a bye week, the Racers are ranked fifth in the nation according to the CRCA polls heading into their match against the number eight Buckeyes. The Racers have had a strong start this season, firing the highest season-opener in Murray State history, putting up a score of 4721 against UT Martin.
During the last match against Morehead State, Carlotta Salafia had a huge day firing a career-high of 1186. Salafia ranked third in smallbore with a 587 and swept air rifle with a career-high of 599.
Standout sophomore, Emma Lawrence, is looking to carry some momentum into this matchup after posting a career-high of 1180 against the Morehead State Eagles.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are coming off a few weeks off after a doubleheader in Alaska, firing a 4701 and 4700.
