Ford's Career Day Leads Racers over Memphis

Murray State women's basketball defeated Memphis 87-83 behind a career day from Haven Ford
Backed by Haven Ford's career-high 31 points, Murray State women's basketball defeated Memphis 87-83 in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday afternoon. Along with her 31 points, Ford also had 11 rebounds to secure her second double-double of the season and went 14-15 from the free throw line.Â
Katelyn Young had 22 points of her own while Halli Poock had 18 points and eight assists against the Tigers. Ava Learn had 10 points as at least four different Racers reached double figure scoring for the second time this season.
After trailing 40-35 at the half, the Racers scored 29 points in the third quarter and 23 points in the fourth to outscore Memphis by nine following the break. The Racers had 18 assists on 28 made field goals and grabbed 40 rebounds.
