The Murray State senior was honored by the Kentucky Counseling Association
Murray State women's golf senior, Eliza Mae Kho was honored this week as the Graduate Student of the Year by the Kentucky Counseling Association.
The award given annually by the KCA, is given to the best graduate student in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Kho was recognized at the KCA's 67th annual conference this week in Covington, Ky.
"I am so thrilled for Eliza to have won this award," said Murray State women's golf head coach, Philip Nelson. "It speaks volumes to the type of person she is. On top of her obvious athletic skill in her sport and importance to this team, she works hard in the classroom. Collegiate golfers travel a lot and she stays on top of her studies in a way that is impressive. Eliza has committed herself to the right things and it has shown. There could not be a student more deserving of this award. We are proud of the example she is to our other student athletes at Murray State."
On the course, Kho joined the Racers in 2019 and entered the fall season of 2024 with more than 100 career rounds played for the Racers.
A Psychology major at Murray State, Kho has also been named to the honor roll in the Missouri Valley Conference, Ohio Valley Conference, Women's Golf Coaches Association and was named an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar.
