DeMier, Miller, Vogel Named to MVC Scholar-Athlete Teams

Bailey DeMier, Dahlia Miller, and Ella Vogel received Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete honors, the league office announced Tuesday. DeMier and Miller were named First-Team Scholar Athletes while Vogel was named to the Second-Team.

DeMier, a native of Bloomington, Indiana, was one of the top setters in the MVC in 2024, averaging the second most assists per set at 9.90 and setting a new school record with a career total of 4,460 assists. The senior currently holds a perfect 4.00 GPA and is studying finance.

This is DeMier's third appearance on the MVC Scholar-Athlete teams and she was previously honored as a member of the MVC All-Tournament team following the 2024 MVC Volleyball Championship.

Miller, a graduate libero, was among the statistical leaders in both the MVC and the nation, as her 5.41 digs per set were the third most in the conference and fifth most among NCAA Division I players. The Pearland, Texas native holds a perfect 4.00 GPA and is pursuing a Masters in Business Administration.

Miller also appeared on the 2023 MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team and was named Second Team All-Conference this season.

Junior Ella Vogel finished an outstanding 2024 with a team-high 431 kills and her 3.92 kills per set were third best in the MVC. Vogel holds a 3.82 GPA and is studying Biology.

The Cape Girardeau, Missouri native was featured on the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Second Team and was honored as a member of the 2024 MVC All-Conference First Team.
