Murray State will play two weekday games for their first two at home games of 2025
Monday will mark the Racers return to Johnny Reagan Field following the cancelation of last weekend's series against St. Thomas.
Murray State will host back to back games starting Monday against Western Kentucky at 3PM. Monday's game will stream live on ESPN+.
The Racers defeated the Hilltoppers, 15-2 last year in their first meeting since the 2020 season.
MSU opened the season 2-0 with a Valentine's Day doubleheader sweep over Western Illinois.
Will Vierling, the junior transfer from Mequon, Wisconsin, powered the Racers offense with five extra base hits including three home runs in the Racers victory. Vierling earned Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for his efforts.
Not to be outdone, Jonathan Hogart reached base in all but one of his plate appearances in the double header. The senior from Madisonville, Kentucky notched three base hits and added three walks for the afternoon.
On the mound, Isaac Silva the senior transfer out of Las Cruces New Mexico, fanned five across five innings of no-hit ball in his Murray State debut.
The Racers will host UT Martin, on Tuesday at JRF at 2PM.
MSU won both of their contests against the Skyhawks in the 2024 campaign.
For Tuesday afternoon's game, fans should park in the lower public lot outside Roy Stewart Stadium due to lot closures ahead of the evening's Men's Basketball game.
