Head coach David Schwepker:
"I am happy to announce the newest member of the Murray State Volleyball Team and Racer Nation in Mija Sagadin Pristovnik from Slovenska Bristica, Slovenia. Mija brings in a great knowledge, skill set, and athleticism from playing at the highest level her country has to offer. At the end of last season, I really felt that our team lacked consistent ball control so I set out to find a great all-around ball control person. I think I have found what I was looking for in Mija. She is not going to be the tallest person in any gym but she can hold her own on the front line and definitely in the back row. My team has an outstanding GPA and Mija will also add to that as she is a very intelligent person who succeeds in the classroom! It is very difficult leaving your family and country, getting used to a new volleyball system, new food, new people and a completely new environment, so let's all help make Mija feel at home and welcomed into Racer Nation when she arrives here next fall!"
