Steady Von Arx Sits 17th at MVC Championship

Murray State freshman, Tina Von Arx, put together two solid rounds to lead the Racers with a spot in 17^th place through 36 holes of the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship at Annbriar Golf Club in Waterloo, Illinois.

Von Arx posted back-to-back scores of 75 and had a spot in the top-20 in the field of 60 competitors.

The Racers shaved 10 shots off their first round and were in eighth place on rounds of 313-303=616, one shot from Northern Iowa (615) and one shot in front of Belmont (617).

Defending champion Illinois State had the lead (579), in front of Southern Illinois and Drake (599) and Bradley (600).

Bradley's Jillian Cosler is the individual leader through 36 holes at 71-72=143.
