Ben Shtolzberg Signs with Racers

Murray State head men's basketball coach Ryan Miller announced the signing of 6-4 guard Ben Shtolzberg who joins the Racers for the 2025-26 season as a senior.

Shtolzberg reunites with Ryan Miller after they were part of the program at Creighton in Shtolzberg's freshman season of 2022-23.

UC Santa Barbara has been Shtolzberg's home the last two seasons as he comes to Murray State for his senior season in 2025-26.

"We recruited Ben to Creighton, so I know him well," Miller said. "First, he's an outstanding young man and a great teammate. Ben has a high basketball IQ and he's going to be a tremendous leader in our program."

In two seasons with the UCSB Gauchos, Shtolzberg played in 56 games with one start and was a 45 percent shooter from the field (61-of-133) and 90 percent from the free throw line (65-of-72). He had 76 assists and only 40 turnovers. His career-high of 13 points came against UC San Diego in 2024 and during his freshman season against Holy Cross with 13 points.

A native of Northridge, California, Shtolzberg played at Notre Dame High School where he was part of a team that set the state record for made 3-point baskets in his sophomore season. He scored 1,342 points in his prep career with the Knights.
