The Racers competed in their third MVC event since joining the league in 2022-23

The Murray State Track & Field team highlighted their third appearance at the Missouri Valley Championships with podium finishes for High Jump champion DiamonAsia Taylor and second and third place finishers Faith Bostick in the 100M Dash and Lindley Johnston in the Heptathlon.

The 2025 MVC Outdoor event was staged at the Lew Hartzog Track & Field Complex in Carbondale, Illinois.

Taylor already had the best high jump in the MVC at 1.80 (25^th NCAA D-I) and ended up with a new PR at 1.81 making it back-to-back champions in the event for the Racers. Meghan Fletcher was the winner a year ago and Taylor took three tries today to match her MSU record 1.84M, but missed on each. Taylor was qualified for the NCAA Regional before this event and will get another chance May 28 when she gets to regional competition.

Bostick placed second in the 100M Dash with a time of 11.56, which is sixth place all-time in the MSU program.

Johnston scored 4879 points to move into the MSU Top-10 in sixth place, after she won the High Jump and placed third in both the 200M Dash and the 100M Hurdles.

MSU's 4X100M Relay team of Alyssa Williams, Amahrie Harsh, Faith Bostick and Serena Blackwood placed fourth at 45.29
Jaiden Knoop placed fifth in the Pole Vault with a height of 3.72M and Katie Schneider was sixth at 3.72M
Jocelyn Host was 10^th in the 10000M Run at 39:22.54
Darrione Joseph was in sixth in the 100M Hurdles at 13.92
Simone Joseph placed seventh in the 400M Dash at 55.63
In the 100M Dash, Faith Bostick, Serena Blackwood and Alyssa Williams placed second, fifth and seventh on times of 11.56, 11.73 and 11.92
Alexis Meloche was seventh in the Javelin at 38.50M
Jocelyn Host was 10^th in the 10000M Run at 39:22.54
Ruth Kimutai placed sixth in the 3000M Steeplechase at 10:39.14
