New Racer head coach Ryan Miller takes his MSU team to his home state of South Dakota.
Â
"The Sanford Pentagon is an outstanding venue, and it's special to compete so close to my hometown of Mitchell, South Dakota," said Miller. "We're thrilled to open the 2025-26 NCAA season in the prestigious Field of 68 event against Omaha, last year's Summit League champions and NCAA Tournament participants. Neutral-site games like this are vital to our challenging non-conference schedule.
Â
The Racers vs Mavericks is the third of three games to be played in Sioux Falls. The other two games feature Drake vs. Northern Arizona and South Dakota State vs. Merrimack.
Â
The Field of 68 Opening Day Marathon also has three games planned the same day in Rock Hill, South Carolina including Queens vs. Winthrop,
Bradley vs. St. Bonaventure and High Point vs. Furman.
Â
The games will be broadcast on The Field of 68's YouTube Channel and X feeds, and the network's popular After Dark show will be broadcast live with a set at both venues.
Â
Racer fans can purchase tickets when the event opens (Sept. 5) on ticketmaster.com.
Â
The Racers' 2025 pre-conference schedule is coming together as several games have been announced including an exhibition contest (Oct. 18) at Xavier. Announced regular season games include home games against Mississippi Valley (Nov. 7), Nicholls (Nov. 15), Little Rock (Nov. 18), Morehead State (Dec. 2) and Bellarmine (Dec. 6).
