Vogel Named to Preseason All-MVC Team

The senior was named one of six MVC players named to the preseason team.
Ella Vogel of Murray State Volleyball was named to the Preseason All-MVC team as announced by the Missouri Valley Conference office in St. Louis, Mo., on Monday.
The senior outside hitter started all 28 matches for the Navy & Gold in 2024, leading the team with 431 kills on the year and an average of 3.92 per set, third best in the MVC.
This marks the Cape Girardeau, Mo. native's first appearance on the preseason All-MVC team after appearing on the 2024 MVC First-Team and being named to the Scholar Athlete Second-Team in 2023 and 2024. Â
The Racers will kick off their 2025 season on Friday, August 29, in Clarksville, Tenn., at the Stacheville Challenge. They will face Austin Peay in the first matchup at 1 p.m. CT and Tennessee Tech at 4 p.m. CT. They will wrap up the tournament the following day by facing Xavier at 11 a.m. CT.
