
Racers Wrap Up Successful Bahama Summer League Appearance

The Racers won three exhibition games in Nassau and now look forward to the 2025-26 season
The Murray State Racers came away with a 93-55 victory Wednesday over the Calgary Dinos to sweep their three-game exhibition series in the Bahamas Summer League at Baha Mar Resort Convention Center in Nassau.
Fred King posted his second double-double of the event with 14 points and 11 rebounds as he shared scoring honors with teammate Javon Jackson. Mason Miller added 12 points and seven rebounds for the Racers.

Leading 24-9 with 10:03 in the first half, the Racers hit the Dinos with a game-deciding run of 17-2 when Jackson and Brayden Shorter hit back-to-back 3-pointers as the MSU lead grew to 30 points at 41-11 with 6:04 before half.

The Racers enjoyed a 51-21 lead at halftime after limiting Calgary to 20 percent from the field (6-of-30) including 1-of-15 from the 3-point line.

Game Notes
- As this game ends, the Racers are 73 days from their Oct. 18 exhibition game at Xavier.
- In games that have been announced for the 2025-26 season, the Racers have home games with Mississippi Valley, Nicholls and Little Rock (Nov. 7, 15 & 18) and Morehead State and Bellarmine (Dec. 2 & 6).
- MSU's game away from home include the season opener in Sioux Falls, S.D. vs Omaha (Nov. 3) and at SMU (Nov. 11), plus three games at the Cayman Islands Classic against Middle Tennessee, McNeese State and George Washington (Nov. 23-25).
- The final games of the pre-conference season for the Racers will be announced soon as will the Missouri Valley Conference schedule, the Racers fourth in The Valley.
