Blackwood, Gibson & Williams Post Top Performances at Vandy

The Racers competed for the first time in 2026 in Music City
The Murray State women's track & field team competed over the weekend at the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Racers saw Serena Blackwood, Reagan Gibson and Alyssa Williams put their name on the MSU All-Time Performance List in the 60M Dash, Pole Vault and Long Jump.
A senior, Williams posted a leap of 5.85M in the Long Jump for a second place finish and 7th on the MSU list.
Blackwood, a sophomore, posted a time of 7.54 in the 60M good for a 3rd place finish and a spot in 6th place all-time at MSU.
Gibson, also a sophomore, placed third in the Pole Vault with an effort of 3.70M for the 6th spot at MSU.
MSU is back in action Friday and Saturday when they compete at the Don DeNoon Invite in Carbondale, Illinois at the SIU Recreation Center.

- Andrea Segovia placed seventh in Pentathlon with 3,438 points
- MSU's Distance Medley Relay placed 7th and 8th.
- Serena Blackwood also ran in the 200M Dash and placed 7th on a time of 24.87.
