MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State's Valeria Chaikovskaia has been selected to represent the Missouri Valley Conference at the ITA Conference Masters, held Nov. 5-8 in Rome, Ga.
It is the second straight year Chaikovskaia has earned the honor. She represented the Missouri Valley at last season's event in San Diego.
The Conference Masters serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Individual Tournament, which takes place Nov. 17-22 at the University of Georgia.
Chaikovskaia carries a 7-3 record into the event after a fall that included her 100th career win, reached two weeks ago at the Battle of the Border against Austin Peay. Seventy-two of those 100 wins have come in singles play.
