Murray State women's basketball picked up a 32-point road win at Bradley
Behind a dominant double-double from Sharnecce Currie-Jelks, Murray State (23-3, 14-1 MVC) dominated Bradley 72-40 at the Renaissance Coliseum on Friday night. The Racers used a massive second-half surge to outscore the Braves 43-17 over the final two quarters.
Currie-Jelks was nearly unstoppable, racking up 19 points and 18 rebounds. Haven Ford matched her with 19 points of her own, fueled by a 3-for-4 performance from beyond the arc. Keslyn Secrist also reached double figures with 12 points.
The game remained tight through the first half, with Murray State holding a modest 29-23 lead at the break. However, the Racers stifled Bradley in the third quarter, limiting them to just 11.8% shooting from the field. The defensive pressure peaked in the fourth, where the Braves managed only four points on 1-of-13 shooting.
Bradley (18-9, 11-5 MVC) was led by Maya Foz, who scored 17 points. Murray State dominated the glass 55-41 and controlled the interior with 36 points in the paint. The Racers became the first road team to win at Bradley this season.
Murray State now turns their attention to Illinois State for a Sunday afternoon matchup in Normal, Ill.
