Murray State Athletics to Begin Alcohol Sales at Baseball Home Events

Murray State University's Department of Athletics, in conjunction with local and state officials and its Sodexo partners, will begin the sale of alcoholic beverages at select Racer baseball home games beginning with the Illinois State series that starts on Friday, April 17. The pilot weekend will include sales on Friday (April 17) and Saturday (April 18).

Having successfully implemented alcohol sales at Roy Stewart Stadium and the CFSB Center, fans will now have the opportunity to purchase beer, seltzers, and other similar offerings at a designated beer garden next to the baseball press box.

Fans will also be able to purchase the Murray State of Mind, the Racers' branded beer produced by Country Boy Brewing out of Lexington.

The following regulations will be in place for all alcohol transactions made at Murray State baseball games:

IDENTIFICATION CHECK WILL TAKE PLACE AT EACH TRANSACTION BY SODEXO. Fake IDs presented will be confiscated and individuals will be referred to law enforcement. Students presenting Fake IDs will be subject to the student conduct process.
Sales will have a limit of TWO per transaction.
Alcohol is NOT permitted to leave the designated beer garden area.
Alcohol sales will STOP AFTER THE SEVENTH INNING.
