Five Racers Earn Spots on MVC Scholar Athlete Team

MURRAY, Ky. - Five Racers earned spots on the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, with graduate utility player Connor Chisolm, sophomore shortstop Conner Cunningham, senior first baseman Luke Mistone, graduate infielder Colby Ott and graduate right-hander Rosin receiving scholar-athlete honors.
A trio of Racers led the academic efforts by posting perfect 4.0 GPAs in human development and leadership. Chisolm backed up his classroom success on the field with a .322 batting average, leading all MVC hitters with 43 hits in conference play. Ott paced the Murray State lineup with a team-best .350 average on the season. On the mound, Rosin held the second-best ERA on the roster with a 3.89 mark and 4 saves in his 2026 campaign.
Mistone finished the academic year with a 3.63 GPA in health and physical education, complementing his work in the classroom with a second consecutive season of at least 50 RBIs at the plate.
Cunningham completed his school year with a 3.63 GPA while studying accounting and finance. Cunningham posted a .262 batting average in the regular season, driving in 23 runs with 3 homers on the year.
