Racers Headed to 2026 Baha Mar Championship

MURRAY/NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Murray State men's basketball team will take a trip south this November for a pair of non-conference contests as part of the 2026 Baha Mar Championship, with the field announced on Thursday. The sixth-annual event will be played on Thursday, November 19 and Friday, November 20 at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center on-site at the resort.
Murray State will face NC State on November 19 in a 5 p.m. CT tipoff before battling either Wisconsin or Seton Hall on November 20 at 6 p.m. CT or 8:30 p.m. CT, with all games of the Baha Mar Championship televised on CBS Sports Network.
"This is an exciting opportunity for our program and an incredible experience for our student-athletes," head coach Ryan Miller said. "Playing against high-level competition in the Baha Mar Championship will challenge our team, help us continue to grow, and give us another opportunity to showcase Racer Basketball. We're appreciative and thankful to our administration, Murray State alumni, fans, investors, and BD Global for helping make this opportunity possible. We are looking forward to the experience and the competition against historic basketball programs like NC State, Wisconsin, and Seton Hall. This will be another chance to represent Murray State on the national stage and showcase what Racer Basketball is all about."
Fan VIP packages are available and include a three-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, two general admission tickets to all games of the Baha Mar Championship, two tickets to the tournament's VIP reception on November 18 with dinner and open bar included, round-trip ground transportation from the airport and resort, two daily breakfast vouchers, welcome gifts and personal concierge service. Airfare is not included in the packages. A passport is required for travel to the Bahamas. The November 19 meeting will be the second time Murray State and NC State have met, with the Racers winning the only other matchup back in 1988. The Racers also won both previous matchups against Seton Hall, back in 1950 and 1964, while Murray State and Wisconsin have never met on the hardwood.
Murray State is coming off a 20-13 season in year one under Ryan Miller, finishing with 12 wins and a third-place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference, both new highs for the program in the MVC. Reigning Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year Roman Domon, who averaged 14.1 points and 5.1 rebounds last season, highlights a roster that includes nine newcomers and six returners from 2025-26. The Racers are coming off a European Tour that saw them go 4-0 in competition across Spain, Greece and France as they averaged 101.5 points per game while holding opponents to 63.5 points per game on the trip.
