Playing Career
Personal
- Goen enters his third season as an Assistant Coach with Murray State baseball in the 2023-24 school year.
- He has oversight of the Racer catchers
- Directs on campus recruiting.
- Is an assistant for the Racer offense.
- In the 2022 season, the final for the Racers in the Ohio Valley Conference, he helped guide the team to a 30-25 overall record.
- The 2022 season marked back-to-back winning seasons for the Racers for the first time in 46 seasons.
Before MSU
- Worked with Oakland University in Auburn Hills, Mich., where he coached hitters, catchers and base runners, while serving as the first base coach.
- He helped Oakland to their best record in five years and placed a catcher on the Horizon League All-Freshman Team.
- Spent a year at Hendrix College in Conway, Ark., in a similar role, coaching catchers, hitters and base runners while serving as the bench coach on game days.
Playing Career
- Played Texas Christian University from 2016-2019 and was a part of two College World Series teams and later
- served as a Student Assistant.
- Was a three-time Texas All-State selection out of Hyde Park High School.
Personal
- A native of Austin, Texas.
- Earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Broadcasting with a minor in Spanish.
