Murray State women's basketball team will defend the CFSB Center Saturday at 5 p.m. as they take on UT Martin. When playing UT Martin in January, the Racers are 13-12.

MSU ranks in the top 60 in three categories this season, starting with sixth in defensive rebounds per game with 31. The team averages 7.4 ranks three-point field goals per game which ranks them 36th. Finally, with a 72.2 scoring offense the Racers rank 53rd in the NCAA Division I.

Despite having their best field goal percentage in the first half since Brescia, Murray State women's basketball fell 75-59 Wednesday night at Lantz Arena. Murray State went into halftime down 33-31, but the Panthers took control in the second half. The Racers scoring was led by Ke'Shunan James with 16 points, followed by Olivia Cunningham who added 13. James had four steals which ties her career-high and had a team-high eight rebounds. MSU committed 16 turnovers, while causing 15 turnovers. Murray State scored 20 points off of Panther turnovers, while also scoring 12 on second chance baskets.

The Skyhawks hold 37-33 advantage and have a four-game win streak when playing at the CFSB Center.

UT Martin has started conference play 8-0 and recently had a 64-58 win at Tennessee State. Despite shooting only 37.7-percent from the floor, they held the Tigers to 25.4-percent. Ashia Jones led the team with 21 points, while Jessy Ward added 12. Tiara Caldwell notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Chelsea Roberts grabbed 10 boards.
