Murray State women's basketball team will travel to Cape Girardeau, Missouri to face Southeast Missouri at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. This is the second time this season the Racers and Redhawks will faceoff. During the Coach Cross era, when playing a team for the second time in the season, MSU is 4-2 when the first game was a home win.

MSU was edged by SIU Edwardsville 78-69 at the CFSB Center, Thursday. This is only the second time the Cougars have defeated Murray State at the Bank. MSU knocked down 13 from behind-the-arc for the most three's made since Nov. 18 against Blackburn. LeAsia Wright led the Racer offense with 18 points, which ties her career-high for the third time. She had some help on offense from Kirby and Ke'Shunan James adding 16 and 12, respectively. James and Netanya Jackson grabbed six boards each for a team-high. Wright's six field goals made tied her career-high, while her four three-point field goals made now stand as her new career-high.

The Redhawks and Racers always play a close game, but Southeast Missouri holds a 33-26 advantage. Murray State has a one-game win streak overall going into this game.

Southeast Missouri fell 78-60 to conference leader UT Martin Wednesday night. The Redhawks shot an impressive 51-percent from the floor in the second half, while shooting 42-percent for the game against the Skyhawks. Allyson Bradshaw tied her career-high seven field goals made and scored 18 points to lead the Redhawks offense. Olivia Hackman and Jasmine Robinson added 15 and 10 respectively. Earlier this season, Murray State defeated SEMO 86-81 at the CFSB Center. Brianna Mitchell dished out 9 assists against the Racers, while Robinson drained 14 points in one half. The Redhawks look to defend their home court and get another conference win.
