Murray State women's basketball team will face Eastern Illinois Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the CFSB Center. The Racers and Panthers will face off even if the university is closed due to weather conditions.

MSU fell to Southeast Missouri 88-66 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. MSU is 4-3 under head coach Rob Cross when playing a team for a second time in the season when they win the first game at home. Ke'Shunan James notched her second double-double of the season coming off a team-high 20 points and 10 rebounds. LeAsia Wright added 14 points, while going 10-for-11 from the charity stripe. Netanya Jackson was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line, while the team was 28-for-33.

Murray State holds a 25-18 advantage of the Panthers, while also holding a one-game win streak at home against the Panthers. MSU is 15-5 at home when facing Eastern Illinois. The Panthers defeated Murray State 75-59 earlier this season at Lantz Arena.

Eastern Illinois fell 83-72 to Austin Peay. Erica Brown notched a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while dishing out three assists and getting five steals. Three other players notched double-digit points in the loss, starting with Arnisha Thomas with 18, Alece Shumpert with 18 and Sabina Oroszova with 12. The team shot 45.9-percent from the floor, while shooting 58.3-percent from three-point range. The Lady Govs and Panthers tied with 30 rebounds each, while both also scored 11 off of second chance points.
