Murray State women's basketball team will honor the senior student-athletes prior to facing Austin Peay on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the CFSB Center.

The Murray State women's basketball team fell 81-67 at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky Wednesday afternoon. MSU is 15-6 when facing Eastern Illinois at the Bank. Keiona Kirby led the Racers with 21 points, while Ke'Shunan James and LeAsia Wright added 12 and 10, respectively. Chanyere Hosey scored a career-high nine points and four field goals game. James and Kirby each dished out four assists. James and Hosey grabbed six rebounds each for a team-high.

The Racers have a 47-43 advantage over the Lady Govs. MSU goes into the game with a two-game home winning streak against APSU. Murray State defeated Austin Peay 98-84 earlier this season at the Winfield Dunn Center.

The Lady Govs fell to SIU Edwardsville 77-62 Thursday evening. The Lady Govs shot 40.6-percent from the field, but that was not enough to stop the Cougars. Kristen Stainback and Brianne Alexander scored 17 points apiece for Austin Peay, while Tiasha Gray added 12. Alexander grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, while Stainback put up five blocks. The Lady Govs forced SIU Edwardsville to turn the ball over 23 times and scored 16 points off of those turnovers.Â
