For the final game of the regular season, the Murray State women's basketball team will travel to Martin, Tennessee to face the Skyhawks of UT Martin. In program history, MSU is 22-25 in the last game of the regular season. The Skyhawks are looking to end their regular season undefeated in conference play.
Murray State women's basketball team topped Austin Peay 72-67 Feb.21 at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers now hold a three-game home winning streak against the Lady Govs. James led the Racers with 18 points, and a new career-high 11 rebounds. Keiona Kirby and LeAsia Wright both added 14 points. Hosey's two steals tie her career-high for steals. MSU shot an impressive 90.5-percent from the free-throw line. The team outrebounded Austin Peay by two, and scored 16 points off of the 17 turnovers they forced the Lady Govs to commit. After the weekend, James was named Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week.

UT Martin has a four-game win streak against the Racers overall. However, MSU and UTM are 33-38 in program history.

The Skyhawks continued with their undefeated season while beating Eastern Illinois in a narrow 63-60 victory. Monique Jackson scored 21 points in the victory for UT Martin. Katie Schubert and Ashia Jones added 14 and 10 points respectively. UT Martin shot 53.1-percent from the floor while the Panthers shot 41.1-percent. The Skyhawks committed more turnovers than Eastern Illinois however the Skyhawks scored 20 points off of Eastern Illinois' 15 turnovers.
