First Pitch
The Racers return to Reagan Field for OVC play with a three-game series against Eastern Illinois. MSU is 9-6 this season at home, including 2-1 in league play, having won the series against SIUE two weekends ago. The Racers are coming off a 5-4 loss Wednesday at Southern Illinois. EIU defeated Illinois State 2-1 on Tuesday.
Inside the Series
The Racers have won 4-of-5 recently against the Panthers, including a sweep in Charleston in 2015. The last time the two met at JRF, EIU took the series 2-1. MSU tied a program record with six home runs in its 18-7 series-opening victory against EIU last year. The Racers are 17-30 all-time at Reagan Field against Eastern Illinois.

Triple Play
The triple play that the Racers turned Tuesday against Kentucky State is just the second triple play on record in program history. The first came in 2006 against Ole Miss.
Great Scott
In nine OVC games this season Ramsey Scott is hitting a team-high .441 with six extra-base hits and nine RBIs. His .441 average ranks fourth in the league during OVC play and his 15 hits are the third-most.
Strong Week for Dixon
In the two midweek games earlier this week against Kentucky State and Southern Illinois, Tyler Dixon is 6-of-7 at the plate with five RBIs and two runs scored. Dixon was 2-for-2 Wednesday with a run and an RBI against SIU and he went 4-of-5 with four doubles and four ribbies in the win over KSU Tuesday.
