Tee Time – Racers Play In Ellendale Intercollegiate

The Racers’ men’s golf team plays in the state of Louisiana Monday and Tuesday
The Murray State men's golf team travels to compete in the Ellendale Intercollegiate (March 28-29), hosted by Nocholls State at Ellendale Country Club in Houma, Louisiana.
Play calls for 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes played Tuesday on the Ellendale course that plays to a par of 72 and a length of 7,120 yards.
Murray State Coach Daniel DeLuca has a starting five that includes Connor Coombs who is sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference with a scoring average of 72.7. Coombs placed 14th last week at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate on scores of 70-71=141. The rest of the MSU lineup is made up by Carson Holmes, Walker Beck, Quinn Eaton and Kamaren Cunningham. Tyler Powell and Trey Lewis will compete for the Racers as individuals.
Host Nicholls State moved their event to Ellendale Country Club in December from LaTour Golf Club because of damage from Hurricane Ida. Ellendale Country Club has hosted numerous professional and amateur championships and qualifiers including the APT Golf Pro Tour Series. The course record of 63 is held by Bubba Watson.
