Freshman Kaydee Wooldridge notched the fifth-best 6K time in program history.
The Murray State women's cross country team finished the MVC Championships in 10th place in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday.
"From the Belmont Opener eight weeks ago to today, we have set a lot of individual PR's as well as made progress as a cohesive group," head cross country coach Jordan Johnston said. "Today we missed the mark on our team goal but I'm still happy with how hard each of them fought from start to finish."
Kaydee Wooldridge led the Racers with a time of 22:11.2, which is a new personal best and the fifth-fastest time in a 6K race in Murray State women's cross country history. She finished 31st out of 102 competitors.
Ruth Kimutai ran a season-best 22:26.5 and ended the race in 39th. Jocelyn Host topped her previous personal best with a time of 23:15.0.
Allison Wood also notched a new personal best with a time of 23:28.0, beating her previous best by seven-tenths of a second. Breanna Day rounded out the counting scores for the Racers with a time of 23:31.9.
Murray State will return to competition at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Friday, November 10.
Johnston added, "With everyone returning for next year, I look forward to seeing the program grow."
