Murray State Baseball fell 3-2 in 10 innings to North Florida on Opening Day
Murray State baseball dropped its season opener 3-2 in 10 innings to North Florida on Friday night in Jacksonville, Florida. Jacob Pennington highlighted the night for the Racers as the starting pitcher, allowing no hits across 6.0 innings pitched and striking out eight.

MSU was able to grab the lead in the fourth inning on a two-run home run from outfielder Seth Gardner. Redshirt sophomore Dustin Mercer collected a double to get his season started while Charlie Corum and Logan Bland collected their first career hits at Murray State.

The Murray State pitching staff racked up 11 strikeouts while walking just three batters.
