Racers Fall at Kentucky In Third All-Time Meeting

The Racers will wrap up their 100th season next week at Southern Illinois
The Murray State Racers dropped a 48-6 defeat Saturday to the Kentucky Wildcats at Kroger Field in Lexington.

The Racers (1-10) get back to Missouri Valley Football Conference action next Saturday (Nov. 23) when they play the final game of their 100th season. Murray State travels to Carbondale to face the Southern Illinois Salukis in a noon kick off.

The Wildcats turned a pair of Murray State passes into interceptions and eventually touchdowns to take a 24-0 lead at halftime.

The Racers had a drive into the Red Zone, but couldn't score in the first half.

James London continued his great kicking for the Racers when he made a 32-yard field goal in the final minute of the third quarter and another of 36 yards at the start of the fourth quarter.

The Racers ended the day with 256 total yards to Kentucky's 582.

- Kentucky has won all three in 2003, 2018 and 2024.
- The Racers totaled 132 yards of offense in the first half while the Wildcats had 318 yards.
